Editorial policy
Our editorial desk decides what gets covered, what gets retested and what a score says. Commercial arrangements never set a score, a headline or a verdict. Affiliate links appear on some pages, and they are disclosed at the top of the page and in our standing disclosure.
What we publish and what we do not
- We publish hands-on workflow scores between 4.0 and 5.0 on a five-point scale, plus reader ratings on the same scale.
- We do not publish a score for a workflow we have not run ourselves in the last 90 days; the page says when the next retest is due.
- We do not accept paid placement in comparison tables, and we do not let a partner read a page before publication.
- We do not use a competitor's marketing copy as a source for timings.
Separation of roles
The reviews editor runs the bench and writes verdicts. The research editor maintains the fee tables and the timing ledger. The editor-in-chief signs off on any score change and handles corrections. No single editor can publish a revised score alone.
